解説：
元々、ヒゲナガサソリ科 (Chactidae) に含められ、その後アメイロサソリ科 (Superstitioniidae) に含められていました。科に格上げされた後も、再びヒゲナガサソリ科とアメイロサソリ科に含める分類もあります。Troglotayosicusは、中眼を欠く、色素が薄い、脚が細くなるなど洞窟性の特徴をもつ形態をしていますが、洞窟内や洞窟付近に生息しているほか、山地の森林内の落葉中に生息する種もいます。
